Luckily for us drummer folk, there are as many companies that sell gear as there are drummers out there to buy it.
It can be said that boutique and custom companies often fly under the radar, and while your dream drum set might boast names like Pearl or DW, don't count out the little guy.
Here are a list of ten drum companies (in no particular order) across the globe who churn out an incredible product.
10. Q Drum Company (Los Angeles, USA)
Q is a company that does custom builds and fuses old world craftsmanship with modern techniques and material.
9. SB Drums (Mettlach, Germany)
A GErman custom company that has been around since 1998 with a focus on German engineering.
8. TRS (Newmarket Canada)
Seppo Salminen is a go-to guy in the custom and drum repair industry. His company does both vintage drum repair and fully custom kit builds.
7. Liberty Drums (Shildon UK)
Boasting the one and only Liberty DeVitto as an endorser, Liberty drums is a boutique drum company that does wood and acrylic sets.
6. Odery (Jardim do Trevo, Brazil)
Started by founder Mr. Odery (no one at BP find out his first name, but apparently he still works at the factory) this Brazilian boutique company offers thier own lines as well as a custom shop.
5. Outlaw (Albany, GA, USA)
This company is a custom shop specializing in old world techiniques with modern tools. They specialize in 200-600 year old wood reclaimed from tobacco barns, gymnasiums, plantation houses, and old bridges.
4. Kumu (Hämeenlinna, Finland)
This family run boutique company sells their own hand crafted lines as well as high end custom builds.
3. Allegra Drums (Vancouver, USA)
Award winning US Pacific Northwest based custom shop that does thier own builds as well as manufacturing for other larger companies including Slingerland, Gretch and Pearl
2. Dunnett Classis Drums/Geo H. Way (Vancouver, Canada)
Drumsmith Ronn Dunnett is no stranger to the drum industry. This drumming Yoda produces some of the most highly sought after custom snares, stainless steel builds and the stellar line up of Geo H Way kits/snares. Found in studios and stages all over the world, his drums are.

Luca Deorsola's boutique/custom shop does everything from the ground up. Plys, shells, hardware, pedals and the works. Considered the Ferrari of drum companies. DS manufactures kits that are among the best in the world.
