Richard Lepinsky started playing drums at age 11, taking lessons from Del Wagner at Al Sprintz Music in Winnipeg, MB Canada.
He started out playing community club dances, and later played full time around Winnipeg and western Canada. He also taught drums to a handful of students.
During this time he played with Sing Out Winnipeg, lounge singer Roy Petty, King James Show Band, and a six piece horn band Bounty who opened for Arrowsmith in Winnipeg.
His last full time gig was in the house band at the Town & Country Cabaret. Here he played back up for headline acts – George Hamilton 4th, and Leslie Gore, before putting the drums away to raise his family.
Now living in Victoria, BC, he has renewed his interest in drumming.
