The Woodstick Big Beat is a fundraising event to raise money for local school music programs. We highly encourage all participants to raise pledges much like you would in a walk-a-thon. All participants who raise over $100 in pledges will be entered to win a huge drum package from our sponsors.

All proceeds from the Woodstick Big Beat will go to Crimestoppers, Groove Music for Youth. They provide musical instruments to underfunded local schools.

We strongly encourage all participants to help raise money for our charities. All participants that raise $100.00 or more will be entered into a drawing for a Sabian 21″ Raw Bell Dry Ride cymbal. A Mapex Raven birch/maple hybrid drum set with Istanbul XIST cymbals will be awarded to the one person who raises the most money.

You can raise money for our charities by asking your friends to sponsor you for any amount they wish to participate in the Woodstick Big Beat (similar to a walk-a-thon).

Click here to see how you can get involved.

If you participate, you’ll need drums to bring a drum set. You can bring as large a set as you like but to count towards a world record it must consist of at least the following:

  • A bass drum with a pedal
  • A snare drum with a stand
  • A tom tom
  • A hi-hat, ride or crash cymbal
  • Any and all spikes must be retracted or covered with rubber feet
  • You MUST bring a small carpet/rug to set up on large enough so that none of your hardware touches the floor

There will be over $10,000 in prizes to be awarded to Woodstick participants.

Our sponsors have donated over $10,000.00 in drum prizes. All prizes will be given away via contests, drawings and raffles at the Woodstick. More prizes are arriving every day. Watch for updates. Here’s what we have so far.
