Kirby's Rudiments "Hey Hey"
Technique by Kirby Jacobsen // June 05 2015
The rudiments keep coming! Here are a pair of stick twisters, “Hey, Hey in 5” and “Hey, Hey in 7.” These are fun and challenging at the same time because you’re playing the familiar flam-taps but with extra strokes in between. The flams can be performed accented or unaccented. Always start slow and play each exercise several times before proceeding to the next. Don’t forget to perform these and all rudiments at soft, medium and loud volumes.
Have fun and remember to lock it in the pocket.
