Triplihits

Technique by Kirby Jacobsen // February 28 2013
Triplihits

Here’s another from my vault of homemade rudiments. They’re called “Triplihits” – triple hits with triplets. “Triplihits” is a mixture of 8th and 16th note triplets. The goal is to smoothly blend three strokes per hand with two single strokes.

Play this and all rudiments at soft, medium and loud volumes. Start very slow and play it several times before speeding up.

Lock it in the pocket!
