Will Taylor Drums and The Black Page Present an Xmas Drum Video

Hello and welcome to the Christmas edition of The Black Page. So all year we've been doing silly stupid inverted flam based cheese double squiddle widdle bars played upside down on the ride cymbal in a bath of skunks. But it's Christmas so I thought we'd do something fun that you drum teachers could do with your young students. I've come up with a little game you can do with your young students where you play melodies around your toms and you play the melodies of famous songs. The first one is a Christmas carol so you have to guess which one it is and the second one is a famous TV theme song. Try making something up for your own students and have a laugh!

For myself, Sean and everyone at The Black Page have a good Christmas!

Will began playing in the Falcons marching band and took a heavy interest in rudimental drumming. This led to seven years of marching snare drum with the Falcons (finally writing for and leading the drumline) and time at the Cadence drum and bugle corps.

He began playing drum kit during this time and took to studying hard with some great teachers (Richard Spooner, Tom Meadows, Neil Martin) and playing for many different artists as well as playing on releases by Gary Go and Incoherence to name a few. Will maintains a busy teaching schedule whilst playing, touring and recording with different artists and bands.
